08. Lily - Jade Diaper bag : During my pregnancy, I spent A LOT of days trying to find the perfect diaper bag for me. My must haves were Function + Fashion. I grew up with a Momma with an eye for a fabulous shoe and an equally fabulous bag. I searched high and low. I heard many great things about various bags, but the one that constantly caught my eye was the Lily - Jade. It comes with a organizer insert, and the leather is TO DIE FOR. I was so glad to find a bag where function meets quality and it had the looks to match. These bags are semi pricy, but well worth it. I stalked their website for months and got mine when there was a little sale!

07. Sit Me Up seat: We use ours almost daily! I am borrowing mine from my cousin who’s son is four months older than Bryer. This seat is collapsible and light so it is very easy to carry from space to space. My other favorite part of this seat is that the back rest comes up a bit higher than say, the Bumbo. In the beginning Bryer Gray didn’t have much balance to her upper body, so this was a good way to help her learn to sit up.

06. Haakaa : Breastfeeding Mommies… click this, buy this, don’t look back. When I first started breastfeeding, I was so tired I hardly noticed the bowling ball sized leakage going on in front of my “unused” breast. BG would eat on both breasts during her feedings, but when she was on one - the other would leak like crazy. I felt like the Hoover Dam. Once I finally figured out my Haakaa I was able to SAVE that liquid gold, and thus I began my freezer stash! It’s a must have I you plan to or are breast feeding.

05. Travel System : Now, I only have experience with one travel system (which I love) as I only have one child.. but, all I can say is get one. When Bryer Gray was first born I used her stroller travel system almost every single time we went anywhere. It is so easy to use and maneuver that even “recovering from a c-section” me was a pro!

System options :

04. Sound Machine : In my house, the baby's nursery is the closest bedroom to the living room, and the kitchen - both of which are often the noisiest rooms in our home. Often times, the baby is ready for bed but Mom and Dad still have dishes to do, laundry to fold and maybe the occasional Bravo TV show to watch (which we all know is rarely on the quiet side). This machine makes life much easier! It not only drowns out the noises from outside of her bedroom, but the “white noise” soothes her into a fabulous slumber. 10/10 recommend, y’all.

03. Snuggle Me Organic : Since day one of her life Earth side, Bryer Gray has been snoozin’ in her snuggle me. This is one of the FIRST things I recommend to new Moms, or even Moms that are just having a new baby. They don't technically condone all night sleep in the Snuggle Me, but if you send me a message I can tell you about the Bair family experience with this amazing little nest of comfort!

02. Nose Frida: When my Mom friends told me this would be a favorite Mom item of mine I laughed. I laughed out loud. To my surprise, this is quite possibly THE Mom item. This thing is like the aspirators you receive from the hospital but on crack! (Maybe not great terminology in regards to baby items, but you get the gist.) My dearest little nose sucker, you have saved us many a hard nights this cold season.. and for that, I thank you.

01. Wine : Thats right. I want to offer up the best items and advice that I can, but if I’m being honest - every child is different and what works for my girl may not be your beacon of light in the darkness that is new parenthood. Fortunately, a nice glass of merlot can take off the edge. I recommend sipping it while you bury yourself in a mountain of bubbles in your bath tub. If the only “tubby time” you’re allotted , is each night as you scrub someone else’s tush hoping and praying for an early bed time… then call me. We’ll get our kids hooked up for a play date and us Mommy’s (and Daddy’s) can “wine” together.

What were your new mama must haves?
